Job 40-42; Proverbs 20; Colossians 4

Anything that dims my vision for Christ, or takes away my taste for Bible study, or cramps me in my prayer life, or makes Christian work difficult, is wrong for me; and I must, as a Christian turn away from it. J. Wilbur Chapman

"Father, Glorify Your Son, as Your Son Jesus has glorified You. You have given us eternal life. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Help me to glorify You on earth. And to finish the work You have given Me to do. I pray that you will be glorified in me. Holy Father, keep us through Your name for we have been given to you. Make us one as you are one. I pray that we may have your joy fulfilled in our hearts. I do not pray that You should take us out of the world, but that You should keep us from the evil one. Help us to realize that we are not of this world, just as you are not of the world.
