I just wanted to let you know i LOVE your podcast. LOVE it. i just started a job working from home, and when i send off my husband and little guy for the day, my house feels empty. i'm so happy i discovered your podcast. i love that you talk about your family, you are honest about who you are and the feelings you are feeling, and you are honest with yourself and everyone else about what knitting is for you. funny thing is, i'm finding it's the same thing for me. it's a stress relief. it grounds me.
anyway, thank you for helping me get adjusted to this new situation.
if you ever make a trip out to Batavia/Geneva/Saint Charles, let me know. i'd love to get together for a sit and knit. i'd love to talk.
so anyway,
thank you and please keep it up!

Recommendations: Book: Changing patterns by Giardella and ross. It's about finding your personal creativity. I found it very refreshing, a lot of fresh ideas that made me think about my life.
Podcasts: I subscribe to ALL podcasts about knitting and crocheting, but my favorite are Knit Picks, Stash and Burn, Knit Science-from the podcasts that are still going on. From podcasts that being stopped my favorite was Math 4 Knitters. This is my suggestion-go and listen to OLD podcasts, even if they are not being refreshed for a long time, some of them are worth it! I did it and I didn't regret it!

Sharon, love your podcast. Thanks for putting one out weekly.
Another podcast you might want to try is geekfarmlife. Their website is http://www.geekfarmlife.com/ . Misti and Andrew do a podcast every week, without fail, and there is lots of history if you want to listen to the past podcasts. Some knitting content (Misti spins and knits and has her own sheep) but mostly farm life.

Just ran across your podcast. We have an audio book habit in common. In reference to great audio books (meaning I think I possibly enjoyed them better than reading the printed word myself), try:
Stardust (Neil Gaiman)
Life of Pi (Yann Martel)
Secret Life of Bees (Sue Monk Kidd)
If you need hours and hours of listening, the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.

Sharon,
I love your podcast too, in fact, you were my first podcast and you will always be special. Your voice is so comfortable to me. I love your straight forward honesty. Listening to you is like having a converstaion with a friend.
You asked about whether people hear their own voice in their head...when I read fiction, I "see" the action taking place and hear the different characters in their own voices.
I, like you, tend to throw myself into something completely. Be completely immersed. So you aren't alone. I have just recently moved to CA and the gardening is great out here, so now I'm all about gardening.
Take care, Laurie
