You Must Be Born Again

John 3:1-21

Jesus had just cleansed the temple. The Sadducee Priests would have been incensed, because this was a direct strike against them and their power and wealth. The Pharisees were probably somewhat more receptive to what Jesus had done. Jesus was new to the Jewish scene and they were curious. Perhaps Nicodemus was sent by the Pharisees to find out more about this new teacher. If Jesus was the Messiah, and was going to bring the coming Kingdom, they wanted to know about it. Nicodemus was about to get more than he bargained for.
