Church Street Park Demolition

This is an unscripted rant about the demolition of Church Street Park, here in Nashville. The park is closed for renovations and is planned to be reopened in about a month. There is a lot of anxiety among the homeless that this is just another in a long line of abuses and harassments, of homeless people, by the city and the Nashville Downtown Partnership.

This podcast was originally recorded on the 29th of August 2007. But, it had taken me some time to figure out how to do this, to learn the technology, etc. So this comes a few days late.

Watch for Gail Kerr's column this Sunday, Sept 2nd, in the Tennessean, about the Church Street Park. She asked me to give a statement, and interviewed Parks Dept personnel as well, so it should be an interesting read.

Kevin, this was a great one. I hope you keep up the podcasts! It's nice to better place the inflections and feeling behind what are usually words.
