Welcome to another episode of Sounding Out The City...
This week, we get it started with some Latin flavours courtesy of the legendary Ray Baretto, followed up by a nice descarga and a latin funk bomb by the punctuationally-challenged Rabbit's Carrot's.
We get it soulful and funky 'til we hit Red Astaire's hiphop mash, which leads into one of my all-time favourite broken beat tracks by an obscure group called Numbers.
It all stays at a soulful and groovy simmer until Tim 'Love' Lee's "Bedsheet Shuffle" brings in some dope spy drama.
It's party time after that with a remix of Woody Herman's Mambo Herd followed up with Skeewiff, Dynamo Productions and a nice remix of Earth Wind & Fire's classic "Shining Star".
We close it out with a nice breaks-filled funk track by Brother Soul.
