This is a witnessing encounter where I found myself just pleading with two young ladies named Toby and Breezy. I tried to avoid addressing their sexual sin but they continued to bring it back into the conversation. I did my best to help them understand that even if they were not lesbians, they are still in big trouble with God on Judgment Day unless they repent. Bottom-line, Toby and Breezy just love their sin more than they do God – they are bound up in their selfish desires (self-worship). They worship the created instead of the Creator.
I show how much of a bag of hammers I am in this witnessing encounter. In my head I knew that Toby was female. But I kept calling her, “dude.” Please forgive me Toby.
My heart aches for these two young girls. They are passionate about their lifestyle. They feel “free.” I understand their agitation with the truth of the Bible. They finally “come out” with how they really “feel” – and their sexual sin is the one thing that they love above everything else in life. They understand what the Bible teaches. Deep down inside they know that they are suppressing the truth in unrighteousness and they prove it by their defensiveness towards the truth of their sin and God’s righteous Judgment.
