Kirby Marsh was an outstanding sharp shooter in her days at Brookville High School. It was a trait she carried onto Francis Marion for Coach Valecia Tedder. Coach Tedder has moved on to become Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Alabama, so this year Kirby will be on the court under the direction of Coach Heather Macy. In this edition of "Checking In", which was heard on "Talking High School Sports" in December of '06, you'll hear from Warner Dyke (Kirby's coach at Brookville High School), Valecia Tedder (Kirby's coach at Francis Marion), Tom Brown (Head Girls Basketball Coach-Jefferson Forest), Dennis Carter (Sports Director at ABC-13 in Lynchburg) as well as Kirby herself.
