Thousands of years ago great sages realized that the food we eat not only sustains life, but also underlies our health and happiness. They compiled religious medical laws such as the Code of Manu in India, the Hebrew code, the Nei Ching and Honso Komoku (the first medicinal herb book) in China; as well as the medicinal cultures known to medicine men & women the world over passed down orally for millennia.
Dr. Hall began studying macrobiotics when he became sick with an incurable disease. doctors wanted to operate. And He said “no”. After a lot of searching without success for a different approach, his family doctor told him that food has a lot to do with any illness. This prompted Dr. Hall to start researching and looking for alternative therapies.
He studied with renown food doctor, French Morrocan Armand Abehsera,; next he learned under the tutelage of Dr. Vicente Ser, the father of macrobiotics in Spain., and, after four years he met and began his studies with Michio Kushi, the premier teacher of food medicine in the world, and founder of the World Macrobiotic Association™. Michio Kushi is the reason there are macrobiotic research projects all over the planet and why the organic food movement is one of the fastest growing industries in the world.
