This Bible Study was originally published at http://shepherdboy.journalspace.com/, based on the Lutheran Book of Worship two-year Daily Lectionary for personal devotions (Lutheran Book of Worship, Daily Lectionary, p. 179-192, Augsburg Publishing House, Minneapolis, 1978).
The daily readings are according to a Calendar based on the Church Year, which begins on the first Sunday of Advent, usually sometime at the end of November in the year preceding the secular calendar year.
