Baptism as Beginning

In Mark 1:4-11, John the Baptist baptizes Jesus. More importantly, God affirms His Son by the sign of the dove, representing the Holy Spirit, and by a voice from heaven.
God affirms us also as we follow in obedience by faith; He baptizes us with the Holy Spirit. Baptism follows repentance and confession, a winsome communication of the truth, and is confirmed the presence of the Holy Spirit. This is a grace we can all enjoy.
