There is a big demand from people to move their podcasts from other
servers. Welcome all! This article will explain, how to migrate to
our service easily.
Moving your podcast to our server means importing all the files you have recorded by the time together with their images and comments. MyPodcast.com is not a catalogue-like resource, which merely lists podcasts, we provide you with hosting as well.
Before you move, you should be aware of the following:
- we support audio of the following format: MPEG 1 Layer 3, constant bit rate up to 192 kbps, mono/stereo/joint stereo, sample rate 44100 Hz.
- your podcast must be available through XML (RSS) feed;
- you should have account registered.
When you are ready please fill in our Import Request Form. If you do not have proper copyrights for the podcast transferred be sure to provide the original podcast owner’s email on the import request form. We will contact him to ensure that you have the permission.
If you have multiple podcasts, they can be imported separately under your account. We do not import single files as you can upload them yourself. We will do the import as fast as we can, but if there are some difficulties, it
might take longer.
After your podcast is finished you should review markers of the Ad
Spots. You have to specify when you would like Ad to be inserted. This will require the use of our web-form. See Advertising spots for more information regarding Ads.
Having your episodes imported you will have to either to repeat import procedure regularly to keep your podcast at MyPodcast.com updated or to publish your episodes here.
