You can allow/disable comments for every episode any time you want. In the episode edit form there is a field "Allow comments on this episode". By default "No" option is set for all episodes. To allow comments simply click on "Yes". If you want all the episodes you create to have comments you can adjust this setting selecting the value "New Episodes Have Comments" in the field "Default for new Episodes" (PODCAST SETTINGS/Comments)
